A student who lost his entire family in the Wayanad incident deleted his memories of 18 years

Wayanad landslides: The natural disaster that occurred in Wayanad in the state of Kerala has filled hundreds of families with extreme sadness. More than 350 people died in landslides due to heavy rains. Another two hundred people were not found. Abhijit Kallingal is 18 years old from Punchirimattam village. He is a hotel management student. The youth was in Thiruvananthapuram for studies on the day of the landslide. They survived. Eight members of his family died in the accident. All eight died, including his parents, siblings, grandmother, uncle, aunt, sister-in-law and four friends who took shelter in his home.

The Wayanad disaster filled Abhijit with immense sadness. His house was high and felt safe. But, the house was completely destroyed. At that time 12 people in it died. The bodies of his father, sister, uncle and aunt were recovered from the rubble. However, his mother, brother, grandmother and relatives are still missing. Abhijit was left alone. Of Abhijith’s uncle Narayanan’s family, only his cousin Pranav survived. He was seriously injured.

Abhijit performed the last rites of his father and sister at the funeral grounds of the Mariamma temple. In this process, he was moved to tears when he saw his sister’s face. Presently he is in relief camp at GHSS Meppadi. My town was very beautiful.. I took many pictures on my mobile phone. Looking at them, I can’t bear the memories of the past. I have now removed most of them. Abhijit deletes the pictures one by one from his mobile saying what is the use of keeping them when he loses them all. Like..Whoever was moved by the Wayanad calamity is shedding tears because of the loss of their family members.
