Hyderabad: ACB caught four government officials red-handed while taking bribe. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted raids at many places and whipped officials who were demanding bribes for carrying out official work.

Executive Engineer Chilukapati Hussain and Assistant Technical Officer Adawala Ravinder were caught by the officials for demanding and accepting bribes of Rs.12,000 and Rs.2,000 respectively in the Roads and Buildings Department office in Jangam district.

The accused demanded bribe for issuance of NOC, forwarding remarks to Warangal Police Commissioner, setting up of a new petrol station at Lingala Ghanapur village.

Rs.12,000 was seized from Hussain’s front left pocket and Rs.2,000 from the lower right drawer of AEE’s office. A chemical test conducted by the two officials yielded positive results.

Both officers have been arrested and will be produced before III Additional Sessions Judge, Warangal in the SPE and ACB cases. Further investigation is ongoing.
