Anand Mahindra as Chairperson of Telangana Skill University.. CM Announcement

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said in a meeting held in America that Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra is likely to take charge as the Chairperson of Telangana Young India Skill University soon. Currently, CM Revanth Reddy is visiting America.

“Telangana has set up a new university for skill development under PPP system. I requested Anand Mahindra to be the Chairperson of that university. There is a possibility that he will take charge as the chairman of the university in the next two days,” said the CM.

On August 1, the Telangana Assembly passed a bill for setting up a skill university in the state on PPP model. Anand Mahindra paid a courtesy call on Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills on August 2. An official statement said that the CM discussed Mahindra Group’s investments in the state and other issues with Anand Mahindra, who agreed to take over the automotive department at the Young India Skill University. Anand Mahindra said the company would send a team to visit the university.

Earlier, Minister Sridhar Babu said that the varsity will focus on skill development of students in some fields like BFSI, Pharma, Life Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Retail and E-Commerce in collaboration with industries.
