Ankurarpana will be held today for the Brahmotsavala at Tirupati Sri Govindarajaswamy temple. On Wednesday evening from 5.30 pm to 8 pm, Punyahavachanam, Mritsangrahanam, Senadhipati Utsavam and Shastroktanga Ankurarpanam will be held. Brahmotsavam will begin with flag hoisting on Thursday 16th May between 8.15 am to 8.40 am.
Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be conducted today from 6.30 AM to 1 PM at Narayanavanam Sri Padmavathi Sametha Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple. The annual Brahmotsavam will be held from May 21 to 29. It is customary to conduct Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam before Brahmotsavams. In this, the premises of the temple, walls, roof, worship materials etc. are purified with water. After that, holy water mixed with spices such as namakopu, sreechurn, musk turmeric, pachaku, camphor, sandalwood powder, saffron, kichiligadda etc. was spread throughout the temple. After that at 1.30 pm, devotees are allowed to have darshan.
