Another medal for India in Paris Olympics

Paris Olympics 2024: Another bronze has been added to India’s account in the Paris Olympics. Aman Sehrawat won a medal in the men’s 57 kg wrestling category. Aman, a 21-year-old young wrestler, won the match against Puerto Rico’s Darien To Cruz by 13-5 points. With this medal India’s medal tally has reached six. Meanwhile, this is India’s first medal in wrestling.

Earlier in 1952, KD Jadhav gave bronze medal to India in wrestling. After that Sushil Kumar won bronze in 2008 Olympics and silver in 2012 Games. Yogeshwar Dutt won the bronze medal in the 2012 Games. Sakshi Malik (Bronze), Bajrang Punia (Bronze in 2020) and Ravi Dahiya (2020) won medals in 2016 Games. Since 2008, medals have been coming to India in wrestling in every Olympic Games.

Aman Sehrawat is a young Indian wrestler. He has made a significant impact in the world of wrestling, especially in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Born on July 16, 2003 in Jhajjar, Haryana, Aman’s life was marked by tragedy early on. He lost his parents when he was 11 years old. His mother died of depression. Exactly one year later the father also died. Aman excelled in wrestling despite the hardships. Aman trained under coach Lalit Kumar.
