Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister KTR said that Chandanvelli is going to be the biggest industrial city in the future. Minister KTR expressed happiness that five years ago there was not a single industry in Chandanavelli, but now many big companies have come to Chandanavelli.
KTR inaugurated the Well Spun Textile Unit at Chandanvelli in the Rangareddy district on Wednesday. Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, public representatives, representatives of Well Spun, and senior officials participated in this program.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that Palamuru and Rangareddy projects will be completed under the leadership of CM KCR on the same lines as Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha. He said that Mahbub Nagar, Rangareddy and Nalgonda districts will be greened. He said that the state government has completed the Kaleshwaram project, which is the largest lift scheme in the world, in four years. However, unfortunately, due to some reasons the works of the Palamuru and Rangareddy projects have been delayed, KTR said.
KTR said that until five years ago there was not a single industry in Chandanvelli. Now many big companies have come. He expressed hope that the region will become the largest industrial cluster in Telangana in the future. Welspun came from Gujarat and invested heavily here. KTR thanked Balakrishna Goenka, head of the company, who said that they would invest 3,000 to 5,000 crores in Chandan Valley in the next five years. Welspun representatives said that they are happy to say that they will provide employment opportunities to local women.
Balakrishna Goenka established an organization in 1985. Today it is providing employment to 25 thousand people in Gujarat. He said that investments have been made in America as well as in Gujarat. He said that he came out of Gujarat for the first time and established Wellspun City in Telangana and thanked him. He said that he wanted to invest in Telangana. To this extent, he has abandoned the establishment of a unit in Kutch and set it up in Chandanvelli.
Balakrishna Goenka, chairman of Welspun Group, said that half of the products made in Chandanvelli go to Silicon Valley.
