Botsa Satyanarayana | Botsa Satyanarayana was unanimously elected as Visakha MLC

Amaravati: YCP candidate Botsa Satyanarayana was unanimously elected in the MLC by-election of Visakha local bodies. To this extent, the election officials officially announced the election of Botha on Friday. He will continue as MLC for three years. The certificate of being elected as MLC was taken from the Joint Collector of Visakha Collectorate.

Later, he thanked the party president YS Jagan who encouraged him to contest by giving B form and thanked the YCP leaders for their cooperation. As the Alliance Government withdrew from the contest, only two nominations were filed in the field. Former minister Botsa Satyanarayana as YCP candidate and Shafi Ullah nomination as independent candidate. An independent candidate withdrew his nomination on Wednesday. Botha’s election was unanimous.

Before the general election held in AP, YCP MLC Srinivas resigned and joined the Jana Sena, but the YCP leadership filed a written complaint with the then council chairman, alleging that he had defected to the party. They were examined several times and finally the MLC was disqualified. A notification was issued for the by-election of the vacant Visakha MLC.

YCP has a strength of 600 MPTCs, ZPTCs and corporators in the combined Visakha district. The alliance has only more than 200 members. The coalition government that was planning to contest this election has finally lost its footing as Chandrababu clarified that he will not contest in the election indicating that he will do politics soberly and not tempt anyone.
