Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed his anger over the lack of response from the film industry to his proposal to give Gaddar Awards to the film industry on the lines of Nandi Awards. On the occasion of Telangana’s legendary writer and Gyanpeeth awardee Dr. C. Narayana Reddy’s birth anniversary, eminent Tamil writer and activist Sivashankari was honored with ‘Vishwambhara Dr. C. Narayana Reddy National Literary Award. Revanth Reddy, who participated in the award ceremony, was deeply dissatisfied with the way the Telugu film industry was doing. Gaddar Awards have been announced in honor of the efforts and achievements in the Telugu film industry.. But it is sad that there is no response from the film industry leaders, he said.
