CM Revanth’s decision to withdraw zero traffic protocol is limited to papers

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s decision to give up the ‘zero traffic protocol’ privilege is apparently confined to paper as the authorities continue to impose traffic restrictions on his convoy even on the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

Revanth Reddy, who took charge as the Chief Minister last December, ordered the officials not to stop the traffic for his convoy. In contrast, a video of vehicles parked on the serpentine line on the ORR for over an hour while the CM’s convoy was passing went viral on social media. Many questioned the action taken by the authorities to stop the traffic for the Chief Minister’s convoy.

Although it is not clear when the video was shot, it has drawn criticism. however, @PropHyderabadThe handle, which shared the video on X on Wednesday, deleted the same later in the evening.
