Darshana Durgamma as Mahishasuramardin | Kanakadurga Mata in Mahishasuramardini Alankaram

Durgamma Chenta Sharannavaratri celebrations are continuing with splendor on the Indrakiladri in Vijayawada. As part of the festival, on the ninth day of Tuesday, Durgamma appeared to the devotees dressed in Mahishasuramardi. A large number of devotees flocked to the temple to see Amma. Due to this, the queue lines were filled with all the devotees.

It is the belief of the devotees that by seeing the Goddess in this adornment, all faults will be removed and a sense of belonging will arise. Mahishasuramardhi incarnated with octagons and killed the lioness Mahishasura, the singer of the world and removed the sufferings of gods, gods and humans.

On the tenth day of the festival tomorrow (Wednesday), Durgamma will be seen as Rajarajeshwari Devi. The festivities on Indrakiladri will end on Wednesday.

Cancel the Teppotsavam

Due to the high level of flood water in the Krishna River, the authorities have canceled the Teppotsavam to be held at the shrine of Lord Durgamalleswara Swamy. He said that at Durga Ghat only pujas are allowed on the swan vehicle. He said that there is a possibility that the flood will continue for another three days.
