Mumbai-based Wish Wind Infrastructure Limited has donated an 800 KW wind turbine worth Rs 5 crore to TTD. To this extent, TTD EO AV Dharmareddy along with engineering officials inspected the windmill arrangements in Tirumala GNC area on Friday morning. TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy will start power generation after getting approvals from APSEB.
This wind turbine will generate 18 lakh units of electricity per year. This will save Rs.crore per TTD every year. However, 15 years ago, this company has already set up two wind turbines that generate 1.03 megawatts of electricity for the needs of TTD. The company itself takes care of the management responsibility of these. He will also look after the maintenance of the 0.8 megawatt electricity generating windmill that is currently being set up.
