Excited by Usuru..three students went swimming and drowned

Tirupati Times, Webdesk:Three students went swimming in the Sagar canal and went missing. A great tragedy took place in Prakasam district. The incident of missing three students near Kothapalli village of Darshi Mandal on Saturday evening filled the three villages with great sadness. Three friends Pothireddy Lokesh (19), Kanduri Chandukiran (18) and Bathula Manikantha Reddy (18) from Kothapalli went swimming in the Sagar canal for fun and accidentally got lost. Among them, the dead body of Pothireddy Lokesh Reddy (19) of Kothapalli was found.. Locals identified two other missing youths as Kunduru Kiran Kumar Reddy and Bathula Manikantha Reddy of Korlamadugu and Lakshmipuram villages.

Relatives of the deceased said that the three missing students were studying intermediate in Darshi. The parents are lamenting as the children whom Allaru raised are going to unknown worlds like this. Relatives and villagers in the villages of the deceased were overwhelmed with grief due to this incident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and launched a search operation. They are fighting for the other two. Darshi MLA Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy reached the incident site and asked the officials to find out the details. The affected families were visited and consoled. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
