Hyderabad, September 4 (Namaste Telangana): IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has asked the central government to declare the flood risk in the state as a National disaster. He said in a statement that he will soon meet the leaders of the central government under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy.
He said that the people of Telangana gave life to the BJP by giving them 8 Lok Sabha seats in the parliamentary elections, and now people are in danger and asked them to support them. The minister said that 14 districts were severely damaged by the rains, 16 people lost their lives and nearly 15 lakh acres of crops and properties were damaged. While Rs.5,500 crores were lost due to floods, the Center was requested to release Rs.2,000 crores as immediate relief.
