Got the In-situ Correlative Microscopy Center at IIT Hyderabad

Sangareddy: Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) has acquired the Center for In-Situ and Correlative Microscopy (CISCoM).

According to Prof. BS Murthy, director of IIT-H, this is the first such microscopy center in India and there are only three or four such microscopy centers in the World.

The project was funded by Science and Technology-Advanced Analysis and Technical Assistance Institute (DST-SATHI) with Rs. 60 crores grant while 17 other organizations got an additional Rs. 20 crores provided. These 17 institutes include leading academic institutes, industries and research centres.

Secretary DST Professor Abhay Karandikar, Chairman Board of Governors BVR Mohan Reddy and Professor BS Murthy inaugurated the campus in Kandi of Sangareddy district on Sunday.
