Deif was born in 1965 in the Khan Younis refugee camp in Gaza. Full name is Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al Masri. Joined Hamas in late 1980s. He then rose through the ranks in Hamas. No one knows where he grew up.. what he studied. Deaf tactics and attacks are also incomprehensible to bystanders. So Hamas got close to Ayyash, a bomb-making expert. Ayyash has bombed Israeli forces in the past. After he was killed by Israeli forces, Deif became the head of the military wing of Hamas in 2002. Hamas played a key role behind the manufacture of Wade Qassam rockets. He was also the mastermind behind the construction of the Gaza tunnel network that threatened Israeli forces. Intelligence sources estimate that Deif spends most of his time in those tunnels to avoid being caught by Israeli forces.

Deif turned around without getting caught by the Israeli forces who were fighting so much. He could not pass the Mossad surveillance. Israel was unable to detect Deif as it eluded the advanced communications and radar system. But this time Mossad did not miss the target. It seems that Deif, who survived seven attacks, died in the eighth attack. Intelligence sources say that Deif, who was seriously injured in the attack in 2000, lost one eye and some organs were damaged.
