RP Sreejesh, who ended his international career after playing the last match against Spain, got emotional after India won. He climbed the goal post with joy and celebrated. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh carried him on his shoulders and walked around the field. India won bronze medals in 1968 and 1972. After 52 years, she won two consecutive bronze medals (2020, 2024).
