London, September 13: For the first time since 2020, the UK has increased the minimum savings for foreign students studying in their country. It will be implemented for students coming to the UK from 2 January 2025. Under the new rules, foreign students must show evidence that they have sufficient savings for their studies.
The Home Office said that students must show evidence that they have sufficient funds to cover the expenses of ‘each month for up to nine months of their course’. London-based students must provide proof of £1483 per month, and non-London students £1136 per month.
