Rohit Sharma: The first match of the three ODI series between India and Sri Lanka took place on Friday night. This match ended in a tie. The match was exciting till the end. Most of the sports fans believed that India’s victory in this match was certain until the end. But, in front of the amazing bowling of the Sri Lankan bowlers, the team India batsmen raised their hands. As a result, Team India failed to score a single run in 14 balls. Arshdeep Singh, the last batsman, came to the crease with just one run to go. He tried to hit the shot without giving priority to taking a single. He got out as LBW. As the scores of both teams were equal, the match was tied. Captain Rohit Sharma looked very disappointed after the match.

After the match, Rohit said that the score Sri Lanka put in front of them was worth it. You have to bat well to get that score. The opening partnership in the match was better. But, after 10 overs, trouble started with the spin attack of the Sri Lankan bowlers. We anticipated this. The conditions for playing shots on this pitch are low. We stayed at the crease and tried to play singles and shots when we could. But, unfortunately, we have been losing wickets consecutively. With the partnership of KL Rahul and Akshar Patel, we are confident that we will win again. Even though the idea was the same till the end, there was an unexpected development at the end. Rohit Sharma said that the batsmen could not play consistently at the crease.

Batting first in the Sri Lanka-India first ODI, the Sri Lankan team scored 230 runs losing eight wickets in the allotted overs. Indian batsmen who entered the ring with a target of 231 runs.. Rohit 58, Shubman 16, Kohli 24, Washington Sundar 5, Shreyas 23, KL Rahul 31, Akshar Patel 33, Shivam Dube 25, Kuldeep Yadav 2, Siraj 5 (not out) scored runs. Arsh Deep Singh ducked out. With this, India were bowled out for 230 runs in 47.5 overs.
