IND vs SL: India’s 3rd ODI with Sri Lanka today.. Will they draw? Changes in India’s final squad
IND vs SL Playing 11 for 3rd ODI: The Indian team, who won the T20 series comfortably, faced tough competition from the hosts Sri Lanka in the ODIs. Having tied one match and lost the other, Team India will face the final test on Wednesday. Rohit Sena, who is addicted to Sri Lanka’s spin and slow pitches, is determined to win the last ODI and level the series. Sri Lanka hopes to avenge the defeat in the T20 format by winning the ODI series 2-0. The third ODI match will be telecast live on Sony Sports from 2:30 PM today.
Batting failure was the main reason behind India’s defeat in the last two matches. Sri Lanka could not play the spin and queued for the pavilion. Apart from Rohit Sharma, no other batsman performed below par. Virat Kohli (24, 14), KL Rahul (31, 0) and Shreyas Iyer (23, 7) failed in both the matches. Shubman Gill has to run. And Shivam Dubey failed miserably. With that, Rishabh Pant and Rian Parag are likely to join the team instead of Rahul and Dubey. Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh are excelling in bowling.
Hosts Sri Lanka, who suffered a clean sweep in the T20 series, are determined to clinch the ODI series. Lankan bowlers are performing magic on a spin friendly pitch. Wanderse took 6 wickets in the second ODI. They are easily demolishing India’s strong batting line-up with spin. Looking to hit with spin in the last ODI as well. Asalanka, Nisanka, Fernando, Mendis are excelling in batting. Colombo is a paradise for pitch spin. Even if rain is forecast for the match, there may not be any problem.
