India is the top producer of plastic waste

New Delhi: India is the leading producer of plastic waste. It generates 10.2 million tonnes of waste every year. This is twice as much as the next biggest polluting country, a report revealed. According to researchers from the University of Leeds in the UK, 57 million tons of plastic waste is produced worldwide every year. These wastes are accumulating not only in one place, but also from the sea bed to the mountain tops and finally in the human body. The report reveals that two-thirds of this waste comes from countries in the global south.
Mobile use is not linked to brain cancer

New Delhi, September 4: The latest study by the ‘World Health Organization’ (WHO) has revealed that there is no link between the use of mobile phones and brain cancer. A team of researchers analyzed 63 studies published from 1994 to 2022. It has been concluded that there is no connection between radio waves emitted from mobile phones and brain cancer. The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, which led the research, said there has been no increase in brain cancer cases since wireless technology became widely used in the past two decades.
