Kakatiya University Asst. Registrar suspended for encroachment of varsity land

Warangal: Kakatiya University assistant registrar Pendli Ashok Babu, who is facing charges of land grabbing, has been suspended.

University Registrar Mallareddy issued an order suspending Ashok Babu on Wednesday. Allegations that Ashok Babu has built a house by occupying the varsity land have been confirmed in the survey conducted by the Vigilance, Revenue and KU officials.

In the investigation of the authorities, Ashok Babu built a house in survey number 229 of Kumarpalli suburb of the university.

But Ashok Babu argued that he had constructed a house outside the University in Survey No. 235, which was not University land.

Recently, Ashok Babu posted on social media defying the survey done by vigilance and revenue officials and challenged the report.

The registrar issued a memo five days ago to give an explanation on this within three days. Expressing dissatisfaction over Ashok Babu’s explanation, the in-charge vice chancellor Vakati Karuna issued the suspension order.
