Kodandaram and Aamir Ali Khan sworn in as MLCs

Hyderabad: Professor Kodandaram and noted journalist Amir Ali Khan, who were recently elected as MLCs, took oath. Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Chairman of the Legislative Council, administered the oath to both of them. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Government Whip Birla Ailaiah, MLC Mahesh Goud and Congress leaders participated in this programme. Ministers congratulated newly sworn in MLCs Kodandaram and Ameer Ali Khan. After that the assembly secretary handed over the rule book to the new MLCs.

MLC Kodandaram spoke to media after taking oath. He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, as well as the Governor and Council Chairman for giving him the opportunity to become an MLC. Kodandaram said that all the activists are happy because he is the MLC. He said that becoming an MLC is only an additional responsibility. He will always fight for the people. MLC Professor Kodandaram stated that he will work as per the aspirations of the activists and martyrs. However, he said that he has reached this position because of the sacrifices of many people.
