KTR | Conspiracy to close 1,864 schools as there are no students.. Mandipada KTR

KTR | Hyderabad: BRS Working President KTR has expressed his concern that the Congress government in the state is seriously neglecting school education and keeping the poor and middle class students away from education. There are reports that they are trying to close around 1,864 schools this year due to lack of students. KTR said that if this is true, there is nothing more to worry about.

He said that it is a shame that the government, which is supposed to strengthen government schools and provide quality education to poor and middle class students, is thinking of closing schools instead of taking steps in that direction. In 2024, the number of admissions in government schools has decreased by about 2.4 lakh compared to the previous year. He expressed concern that this is a danger sign for the education sector of the state. They said that the Congress government has messed up public education within 8 months. He said that this predicament has arisen due to the fact that the government, which is supposed to find out why the number of students in government schools is decreasing and solve those problems, is in a state of slumber.

25 thousand teacher posts should be filled immediately..

KTR alleged that admissions in government schools are decreasing mainly due to lack of number of teachers according to the number of students. He said that nearly 25 thousand posts of teachers are vacant in the state and they need to be filled immediately. He said that the government, which is supposed to solve the problems, is creating the problems. He said that due to schools being closed due to lack of students and teachers being sent to other schools on deputation, students are not getting government education in many places. In addition to this, due to the lack of proper infrastructure, non-provision of quality food, lack of cleanliness and safety in schools and welfare hostels, the Congress government has brought about a situation where parents are afraid to admit them to government schools.

It is the responsibility of the government to provide quality education

He said that incidents taking place in gurukula schools in the last few days, food poisoning in hostels, insecure conditions and closing of schools for lack of students are worrying. KTR said that this is not good for the society of Telangana. It is the responsibility of the government to provide quality education to poor and middle class students. KTR criticized Revanth Sarkar for finding lame excuses to escape from that responsibility.

For the construction of infrastructure Rs. 7,289 crores have been allocated..

On this occasion, KTR reminded that many programs were undertaken to promote public education during KCR’s ten-year rule. He reminded that apart from starting more than one thousand gurukula schools like never before, students were provided with quality food. He reminded that in the government hostels they used to eat thin rice. He said that steps have been taken to introduce English media in government schools and take up education in private schools. Apart from that, about Rs. He reminded that 7,289 crore rupees had been allocated. He said that concrete buildings have also been arranged for the school through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. KCR has paid special attention to all the measures to be taken systematically to strengthen the public education system. Breakfast scheme has also been introduced to prevent dropouts in schools. As a result, there has been a situation of competing for admissions in government schools like never before.

It seems that Revanth does not want poor students to study.

He said that the Congress government, which should strengthen the path laid by KCR, is acting without that soi. He questioned why schools should be closed without focusing on the reasons for the decrease in student enrollments in schools and their prevention. It means that Revanth Reddy Sarkar wants poor and middle class students to study or not. KTR questioned whether they want to create problems in government schools and close the schools as there are no students. He said that it is worrying that this most important issue is being neglected.

A minister should be assigned to the education department.

KTR questioned whether this Chief Minister knows what is actually happening in the education system. The state does not have an education minister. The Chief Minister has no influence over the education system. KTR said that since coming to power, this CM has no interest in people’s problems other than politics and diversion tactics. KTR suggested that the Chief Minister should focus on this issue even now. He wants to immediately appoint a minister to the education department and work to solve the problems. KTR demanded that a committee consisting of educationists and ministers should be formed to suggest the reasons for the decrease in the number of students in government schools and the measures to be taken to strengthen public education.

We will raise concerns about educational problems.

He warned that if the government does not immediately focus on the problems of the education sector, the BRS will take up large-scale agitations. He said that it would not be tolerated under any circumstances to deprive poor and middle class students of public education. KTR said that if they do injustice to the parents of lakhs of poor students who depend on the education provided by the government, then they themselves will give due advice to the government.
