Manipur people are angry with Modi: Ex-governor’s sensational comments

Tirupati Times, Webdesk:�Manipur’s former governor Anusuiya Uikey made sensational comments saying that the people of Manipur are angry with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that despite the riots going on in the state, people are dying and the people are angry that the Prime Minister has not entered the state so far. She made her comments in an interview given to a media organization on Sunday.

Anasuya said that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should take action as soon as violent situations arise in the state. “The people of Manipur have a lot of respect for Prime Minister Modi. They are very happy with the development programs done by him in the state. But despite such violent situations, they are saddened that he has not come to the state even once,’ she said.

But she said that even if he did not come to Manipur, Prime Minister Modi is closely monitoring the situation in the state and the Home Minister is also trying to improve the situation here. It has been revealed that we are already providing shelter to the victims through rehabilitation camps and building new houses for many of them. It was also revealed that compensation of Rs.10 lakh, Rs.7 lakh and Rs.5 lakh is being given to those who died due to violence.
