Mpox: Monkeypox is causing havoc in many countries around the world. Monkeypox is particularly prevalent in African countries. This virus has infected 15,600 people in all countries so far.. Out of which 537 people have lost their lives. 96 percent of those killed were from the Congo. Recently, a case of monkeypox was also reported in Pakistan.

India was alarmed by that. As part of the precautionary measures, the Union Health Department organized a review meeting. In this meeting held in the presence of Health Minister JP Nadda, the possibility of monkeypox entering the country was discussed.
