My wish is ‘weekly off’ for the police: CM Jagan

Chief Minister Jagan said that the performance of the police has improved a lot in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He participated and spoke in a program organized at Vijayawada Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium on the occasion of Police Martyrs Memorial Day. He said that all our soldiers are policemen and the government will stand by the policemen who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

He said that the working style of the police has improved a lot and the time taken to investigate crimes against women has also reduced a lot. He said that the vacant posts are being filled to reduce the work load on the police. It has been revealed that permission has already been given for the replacement of 6,511 vacancies. They said that after their government came, there were changes in the police system. Disha App and Disha Police Station are part of it.

It is said that 33 lakh people have downloaded the Disha app on their phones, in which 15 lakh people have completed the app registration. He said that 1237 places were rescued through the Disha app. He said that the government has shown sincerity by appointing women and Dalits as ministers in the police department (home department) and not taking any step back in giving priority to them. He said that his wish is to give weekly ops to the police, but due to lack of staff, it is not fully implemented. The police personnel said that they will solve all the problems without fail.
