Narayanapet: Two children drowned in the river

Narayanapet: On Sunday, two children drowned while going to wash clothes in a stream in Tirumalapur village.

The deceased were identified as Preeti (13) and Rohit (11), while two other children Mangala and Rajamma escaped. The deceased hailed from neighboring Karnataka and had come to the village to attend the funeral of their relatives.

After attending the ceremony, the family members went to the stream to wash their clothes. Accidentally the girls slipped into the river, locals rescued two girls and two others fell into a watery grave.

Based on the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
