Nirbhaya’s Mother: Bengal CM should resign.. Nirbhaya’s mother demanded

Ballia: 2012 Delhi gang rape victim Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi reacted to the incident where a 31-year-old PG doctor was raped and murdered at RG Medical College in Kolkata. She demanded the resignation of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. She accused CM Didi of failing to stop the atrocities. Asha Devi accused CM Mamata Banerjee of diverting the rape incident with protest demonstrations instead of punishing the accused.

A trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College on 9th August. Doctors across the country are protesting against this incident. Asha Devi accused Didi of misleading people to divert them from the rape incident. He said that she is also a woman and strict action should be taken against her accused who is the CM of the state. Asha Devi demanded that the CM should resign saying that she failed to rectify the situation.

The central and state governments should give severe punishment to the rapists, otherwise similar incidents will happen in all parts of the country. If there is no protection for girls in Kolkata Medical College, then where is the protection for women in the country, she asked. Bengal Police has arrested one in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor. The case has now been transferred to the CBI.
