Nirmala Sitharaman counters Mamata Banerjee’s allegations

Nirmala Sitharaman: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman denied the allegations made by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. It is known that Mamata walked out of the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. She said that the mic was cut in the middle of the meeting while she was speaking.

Reacting to this, Nirmala Sitharaman said that Mamata Banerjee attended the NITI Aayog meeting and they all heard her speech. He said that every CM should give a speech in the allotted time. The screen in front of each table explained how much time to speak.

Nirmala Sitharaman said it is a lie that Mamata cut her mic. Mamata Banerjee said to speak the truth. She said she was happy to participate in the NITI Aayog meeting. He said that it was painful to say that his mic was done. He said that when the allotted time was running out, instead of asking for an extension, he gave it as an excuse and said that his mic was turned off. He commented that the truth should be told to the media.
