Nita Ambani : Nita Ambani honored Paris Olympics medal winners Manu Bhakar and Swappil Kusale at India House
Nita Ambani: Manu Bhakar and Swapnil Kusale, who became Olympic bronze medalists in the ongoing Paris Olympics, were felicitated by International Olympic Committee (IOC) member and Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani.
To this extent, they were honored at India House on Tuesday (August 6). Among them were shuttler Lakshya Sen, shooters Vijayveer Singh Sidhu, Maheshwari Chauhan, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, Sift Kaur Samra, Esha Singh, Raiza Dhillon, Anish Banwala, boxer Nishant Dev, shot put athlete Tajinderpal Singh Tour and athlete Jeswin Aldrin. .

Nita Ambani praised the shooting contingent for their brilliant performance at the Olympics. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the shooting contingent has shown top form in the Olympics. Manu was also praised for following the wisdom given in the Gita.

“The Indian shooting team has been in top form in these Olympics. First Indian to win a medal in 50m rifle event (Swapnil). Our ancient scripture Bhagavad Gita says ‘Do your best. Leave the rest to God’. That’s what she did three years later…she changed not only her career but also the destiny of the country,” said Nita Ambani.

Total 3 medals for India:
India has won a total of 3 medals in the Olympics so far, out of which all three bronze medals have been secured in shooting. Manu Bhakar wins bronze medal in women’s 10m air pistol event. She became the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal in this event.
Later, Sarabjot Singh and Manu won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol (mixed team) event. First medal for the country in team shooting. Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3p event. He is also the first Indian to win a medal in this category.
