He said that the movement of a cheetah and a mouse caught in the trap cameras installed near the Sri Narasimha Swamy temple were found. On December 13 and 29, the movement of a cheetah and a bear was observed by the trap camera.
TTD DF Vo Srinivas said that there is no cheetah roaming on the Alipiri walkway and devotees can come to Tirumala without fear. He said that the leopard was seen in the Sheshachala forest area. It was explained that the movements of the cheetah were recorded in the trap cameras installed there and that the cheetah had moved twice in the past 29 days. He said that a bear was also seen in the same area. He said that there is no animal movement around the staircase. In view of the apprehension of the devotees, it was explained that a special patrol was arranged with the forest staff. Srinivas explained that a pahara has been set up with forest personnel from the 7th mile of the Alipiri trail to the Narasimha Swamy temple, and devotees can walk to Tirumala without fear. It is known that TTD has taken some important decisions for the safety of the devotees going on the walkway to Tirumala. Devotees are not allowed on the Alipiri walkway after 10 pm. Walkway is allowed only after 6 am. Children below 12 years of age are not allowed on the walkway after 2 pm.
