Overall, Aman Sehrawat won bronze in men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling, becoming the first wrestler for India to win a medal at the Paris Olympics. He is the seventh Indian player to win an Olympic medal, joining the club of KD Jadhav, Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya. His was India’s eighth medal from the sport with one each from Jadhav, Yogeshwar, Sakshi, Bajrang and Dahiya and two from Sushil. Sehrawat’s bronze was India’s fifth medal in Paris and sixth overall this year.
