Pranavi Chandra: Hyderabad cricketer selected for Caribbean Women’s Premier League..

Hyderabad-based female cricketer Pranavi Chandra has been selected for the women’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) tournament to be held in the West Indies from August 22 to 30. Pranavi Chandra was selected to play for the host Trin Bago Knight Riders. Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Jaganmohan Rao revealed this on Instagram. Hyderabad Cricket Association President Jagan Mohan Rao said that it is a matter of pride for Pranavi to be the first cricketer from Hyderabad to be selected for the CPL.

Pranavi became the first Hyderabadi cricketer to be selected for the Caribbean Premier League. 22-year-old Pranavi is a right-handed off-break bowler-cum-middle-order batsman. She has not played for the Indian national team so far. Along with the Hyderabad team, Pranavi South Zone team also represented. An aggressive top-order batsman, Pranavi’s impressive strike rates in domestic T20s as well as ODIs played a key role in getting selected for the league to be held at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarauba, Trinidad. There are three Indians in the Trinidad@Tobogo team in the league. Among them are Jemia Rodrigues, Shikha Pandey and Pranavi.
