Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said on Friday that two more Vande Bharat Express trains under South Central Railway (SCR) zone will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16.
One service will run between Hyderabad and Nagpur, while another train will run between Durg (Chhattisgarh) and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
Kishan Reddy thanked the Prime Minister in a statement saying that these trains are a gift to the Telugu people on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Vande Bharat departs from Nagpur at 5 AM and reaches Hyderabad at 12.15 PM, while the train on the return journey departs at 1 PM. and reach Nagpur at 8.20 PM. The 578 km journey will be completed in 7.15 hours. It has halts at Kazipet, Ramagundam, Balharsha, Chandrapur and Sevagram stations.
The second Vande Bharat train leaves Durg at 5.45 am and reaches Visakhapatnam at 1.45 pm. The return journey will leave Visakhapatnam at 2.50 pm and reach Durg at 10.50 pm. The 565 km distance will be covered in eight hours with halts at Raipur, Vizianagaram, Mahasamund, Raigad, Khariar Road, Kausinga, Titlagarh, Kantabanji and Kesinga.
