PM Modi Russia Tour: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is touring Russia. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Mantrov welcomed Modi on his arrival in Moscow, Russia on Monday evening. Later, Russian President Putin hosted a private dinner for Prime Minister Modi at his official residence in Novo Ogarovolani. Putin gave a warm welcome to Modi who came to his home on this occasion. The two leaders embraced. Modi was showered with praise by Putin.

The US suggested Modi to mention the Ukraine war in the talks between Modi and Putin. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said that Modi wants to make it clear to Putin that any decision taken by Russia must respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and UN law. Not only India, Miller said that we will demand the same from any country that maintains relations with Russia.
