Tirupati Times, Telangana Bureau: Panchayat, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr. Dhanasari Anasuya Sitakka has directed the officials to speed up the development works of Ramappa Devalaya, which is recognized as a World heritage property. It has been suggested that the works should be completed in accordance with UNESCO standards. A meeting of the State Level Managing Committee of World Heritage Ramappa Temple was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Minister Sitakka on Wednesday. Youth, Culture and Tourism Department Secretary Vani Prasad, Tourism Corporation MD Prakash Reddy, Mulugu Collector Diwakar T. S, Department of Archaeology, Department of Religion and representatives of Kakatiya Heritage Trust conducted a review on the development works of Ramappa Temple in the meeting.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Sitakka said that the Ramappa temple has a wonderful art wealth with a rich history. That is why UNESCO has recognized it as a World heritage. As Ramappa Temple is the only building in Telangana which has been recognized as a World heritage, they want to speed up the development works to spread the glory of Ramappa to the World. Sitakka said that all the departments should complete the work within the deadline in coordination. History and people will not forgive if the work is lax. As there are many historical areas and tourism centers around Ramappa… they want to develop Ramappa as a tourist hub.

Many historical places like Lucknow, Bogatha, Sammakka Saralamma temple, forest wealth and natural beauty are very attractive to the tourists. It is suggested that the Tourism Corporation should build hotels with all amenities so that the tourists can stay. Ramappa wants to take up the development works while preserving the natural surroundings. He suggested that all branches should participate in the Yajna to show the richness of Ramappa’s heritage to the future generations.
They want to take up the development works without making mistakes anywhere. Any problems encountered in the development works should be brought to his notice. He said that he will always be available.. It is not as if he is far away as long as he is in ministerial positions. Ramappa advised the officials that they can approach him for any minor problem in the matter of development. Along with the Ramappa temple, the Ramappa lake and the surrounding areas should be beautified. However, Minister Sitakka has made it clear that permission should be given for mining and other works that disturb the Ramappa pond and the temple.
