Rice ATM In Odisha : You will see cash withdrawal from ATM. But, now rice can also be taken from the ATM. In this regard, the first rice ATM mission in the country has started. Rice can be taken from this ATM mission set up in Odisha. It sounds strange but it is true. Government of Odisha has started this new rice ATM in a godown in Muncheswar area of Bhubaneswar. Ration beneficiaries should enter their ration card number on rice ATM screen. After that Velimundra should be applied. After that, the rice from the ATM can be filled in the bag. Each ration card beneficiary can get 25 kg of rice at a time through ATM.

By this method there is no need to stand for hours in front of ration shops for rice. Also, there is a possibility of complete curbing of illegal transportation. This rice ATM was started experimentally in Bhubaneswar. The government is planning to open these ration rice ATMs in all 30 districts of Odisha. If this model is successful at present.. this system will be extended to other states under the ration card scheme.

The State of Odisha has signed several partnership agreements with the World Food Program (WFP) in 2021 itself. Some projects like distribution system, rice collection, rice ATM, smart mobile storage unit will be started under these. The Odisha Civil Supplies Minister inaugurated this rice ATM on Thursday. He said that this is the first rice ATM in the country. If it is successful, it will be set up in all the district centers in the coming days, he said.
