Satirical Video: A young man tells how he can legally avoid paying even a cent of income tax
It is known that the central government has been criticized for not giving relief to the wage earners in the recently introduced budget. Employees are worried that if the salary is going towards debts, house rents and transport charges, they will have to pay taxes along with them.
At such a time, a young man quipped how he could avoid paying even a cent of income tax. The video related to this is going viral on social media. Srinidhi, a content creator from Udupi, Karnataka explains how to save 100 percent tax in the form of a video.
‘In this video I will tell you how to save 100 percent of income tax. It’s simple, legal. Employees should first grow grass on the balcony or rooftop of their house. Is this legal.. After that employees should go to their HR and tell them that they don’t want the salary. If you say this, the company will also be happy. However, the company should be told that the employees should buy the grass they grow in lieu of salary.
For example, if your salary is Rs.50 thousand, say you want to buy 50 hay bales. Each haystack should be sold for Rs.1,000. You will get Rs.50 thousand. This is a completely legal process. Now your salary is zero so no tax. There is no tax on agricultural products in our country, so the Rs.50,000 received by you as a haymaker will not be taxed. There is no need to fear about TDS and investment,’ he said satirically.
