Srisailam | Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam celebrated Independence Day. Evo D. Peddiraj unfurled the national flag after performing Mahaganapati Puja following the temple tradition. Later, he said that we are enjoying the freedom and independence that have been obtained as a result of the sacrifices of many patriots. On this occasion, the events of independence were explained. The progress achieved by the temple during the last one year was informed.

Evo Peddiraju said that the number of devotees visiting Srisailam Kshetra is increasing day by day. He opined that there is a need to provide facilities in accordance with the rush of devotees. He said that appropriate steps will be taken to create the facilities according to the rush of devotees. On the one hand, development programs are being undertaken and more steps are being taken to make the field spiritual. He said that field development is a continuous process. The staff are also advised to play their part in the development of the field. Meanwhile, Sailikshita from Nandikatkur, Likshita Sri Nritya College performed a traditional dance to patriotic songs as part of the celebrations.
