Stone attack on Vande Bharat train in Visakha Miscreants pelt stones on yet to launch Sec’bad

Indian Railways launched Vande Bharat Express train in a very prestigious way. While this train is already running on many routes, this train will be available on the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam route connecting the Telugu states in a few days. A trail run is being conducted as a part of it. In this sequence, there was a stone attack on the Vande Bharat train in Visakhapatnam.

On Wednesday morning, the Vande Bharat train reached Visakhapatnam railway station for maintenance. Railway officials conducted a trial run. At around 6 pm the train was on its way to the coach care center for maintenance at Marripapem when some unidentified persons pelted stones near Kancharapalem. The glasses of the coach were broken in this incident.

Divisional Railway Manager Anup started the investigation immediately after the incident. Officials are examining CCTV cameras in the vicinity. Railway Protection Force is hunting for the accused. No one has been arrested yet. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is supposed to flag off this train on January 19 in Secunderabad. However.. it got postponed due to many reasons.

Fully equipped with chair car bogies, this train takes passengers to their destinations at the fastest speed. If this train becomes available, the travel time will be greatly reduced. At present it takes 12 to 14 hours from Visakha to Secunderabad. The same Vande Bharat train can reach the destinations in just 8.40 hours.

Meanwhile, the possibility of extending the Vandebharat train services to Tirupati is also being considered. If the train runs from Secunderabad-Tirupati, the passenger traffic and time will be reduced from Vijayawada.

Vande Bharat trains are currently running on New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Katra, Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar, New Delhi-Amb Andaura and MGR Chennai Central-Mysore routes.

– It is an AC train. It has 16 coaches with a seating capacity of 1,128.

– The train has a state-of-the-art braking system. This enables speed control and quick acceleration.

-Vande Bharat trains can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 52 seconds, with a top-up speed of 180 kmph.

-All coaches have automatic doors, GPS-based audio-visual passenger information systems and disabled-friendly facilities.

– Hotspot WiFi facility on board for entertainment purposes.
