Telangana: Pheasant curry recipe video post.. Case file on YouTuber

Hyderabad: A local YouTuber has sparked an outcry from animal lovers after he released a controversial video titled “Traditional Peacock Curry Recipe” on his channel. A case has been registered against the local YouTuber. The video, posted by Kosam Pranai Kumar of Tangallapally in Rajanna Sirisilla district, has drawn criticism for promoting poaching of India’s national bird, the peacock. According to the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972, the peacock is accorded maximum protection.

A closer look at Pranaykumar’s channel reveals that he has also uploaded a video showing how to cook wild boar curry. That is controversial. Although the video has been deleted, animal rights activists are demanding police and forest officials to pay attention to it. Rajanna Sirisilla District SP Alkhil Mahajan said in his ex-account, “A case has been registered under the relevant law. Strict action will be taken against him and those involved in such activities.”
