Telangana: Police assault on woman.. Six policemen suspended
Hyderabad: The police department has become serious about the incident of brutal beating of a Dalit woman named Sunita by the police in Shadnagar town PS. In this order, the higher authorities have taken strict measures. Detective Inspector Ram Reddy and five other constables have been suspended. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mahanty has issued orders to this effect. Among those suspended was a woman constable. Meanwhile, CM Revanth, who has already responded to this incident, promised to stand by the victims. He said that those responsible cannot escape.
ACP Rangaswamy investigated the incident as per the orders of higher authorities. Submitted his report to CP. CP revealed that the responsible were identified and suspended based on the report. The police took the victim to the police station on the charges of stealing gold and registered a case against her. Even after 10 days, he was not remanded. Later sent home. The woman expressed her grief that the police beat her severely to get her to confess to the theft. The superiors have ordered an inquiry into this. In this order, the police department has suspended six policemen.
