Tirupati New Cyber Crime Alert.

Tirupati: Now new cyber crime criminals are calling the public through digital arrest and terrorizing them in various ways, firstly whoever is the target they call them and they call from normal call saying we are calling from narcotics narcotics department.

Then they will first call you saying that the drugs have been parceled in the name of your Son/Daughter and we have registered a case, then if you don’t believe us we will make a video call and say skype install, they will make a video call, with background police logo and uniform they are real police. They rush and make us look like we are real.

Later, seeing that we are scared, if they want to get rid of you from this case, the amount to our said account They give us very little time to pay and ask for the amount. Later they put our name and photo in a fake pdf copy saying that an arrest warrant has been issued for them and whats app us. Later they try to cheat us more and get more money.

Precautions to be taken

1. It is very good not to put your/your family photos as profile photo on WhatsApp.
2. It is not good to give your personal details unnecessarily to strangers.
3. Personal details and banking details will not be shared with anyone
4. If you know someone you don’t know, under no circumstances should you accept their request.
5. Keep your personal past private on social media.
6. Do not respond to emails and messages about winning prizes.
7. Your personal data should not be included unnecessarily when you go anywhere either with your family or by yourself.
8. If there is really a police case against you, the concerned police office will come directly, and who does not call on WhatsApp and Skype or video call, we must understand that if they do, they are cyber criminals.
9. We are responsible for our own personal safety.
10. Don’t lose your money by falling victim to a cyber crime fraudster’s call unnecessarily.
11. Don’t sell your bank account to anyone expecting a commission, if you do that you will technically be the accused.
