An 18-month-old girl was seriously injured when she was attacked by a stray dog ​​while she was playing on the subway near Satavahana University in Karimnagar. The CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on various social media. In the video, the boy, Harinandan, is standing with another child. Within seconds a dog approached and suddenly pounced on him. So he fell to the ground. Seeing this, the child’s mother scared the dog and saved him. He was taken to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

Dog cruelty is on the rise across the state. A 70-year-old man was seriously injured when a group of stray dogs attacked his residence in Arepalli village of Mogullapalli mandal of Warangal district on August 7. According to reports, the victim was sitting in front of his residence when a pack of stray dogs attacked him and seriously injured him.

In the same incident, two girls were attacked and injured by a group of stray dogs in Hamali Colony on August 2. 15-month-old Asmit and four-year-old Hartik were playing near their residence when a pack of stray dogs attacked them. While Asmit suffered severe facial injuries, Hartik sustained minor injuries. As soon as he noticed the dogs attacking the children, the resident immediately intervened by throwing stones to drive the dogs away. The children were immediately shifted to Gadwala Government Hospital for treatment. It is reported that the condition of both is stable and they are currently undergoing treatment.

30 thousand dog bite cases are reported in Hyderabad every year

Around 30,000 people are bitten by dogs in Hyderabad every year, and 70 to 90 dog bite cases are reported every day. Over three lakh dog bite incidents have been reported in Hyderabad in the last decade. According to GHMC officials, there are 4 to 6 lakh dogs in the city.
