Vijayawada: CM YS Jagan participated in Sri Lakshmi Maha Yajna

VIJAYAWADA: For the welfare of the people of the state, the Andhra Pradesh Devadaya Department has launched the Sri Lakshmi Mahayagna with the desire to make the state abundantly green. Ashtottara Satha performs Kundumna Chandi, Rudra, Rajashyamala, Sudarshana yagas along with other rituals. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the program held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Bandar Road, Vijayawada. The programs started at 5 am with Vedic Swasti, Gopuja, Vigneswara, Vishwaksena puja, Punyahavchanam etc. The Maha Yajna started after CM Jagan took the Yajna Sankalp.

CM Jagan who performed special pooja at Goshala. The chief minister performed special pujas at the Goshala, followed by Akhanda Deeparadhana (non-stop lighting of lamps). The Maha Yajna will continue for six days till the 17th of this month. A total of 108 yagas are performed in 27 kundas (fire pits) in four main yaga shalas (yajna vedikas). On the last day Sri Sarada Peethadhi Swarupanandendra Saraswati along with other Peetha officials will perform the Mahapoornahuti (final offering) of the Yajna.
