Vizag: Goods train derailed near Shivalingapuram yard

Visakhapatnam: Goods train derailed on Visakhapatnam-Kirandul railway line. A goods train coming from Bachcheli towards Visakhapatnam derailed near Shivalingapuram yard before Tunnel-7 on Thursday morning. Eight loaded wagons derailed. A goods train derailed, disrupting the movement of many trains. Passenger trains have been canceled on this route.

Railway personnel from Koraput and Visakhapatnam have reached the spot to carry out war-like repairs at the accident site. DRM, Voltaire, Anup also reach there and supervise the works. Visakhapatnam-Kirandul train 08551 has been canceled by railway authorities. Those who bought the tickets are being refunded. Those who purchased tickets online are advised to file TDR for refund.

It is noteworthy that this is the second derailment incident within a month.
