- Flood of suspicions on illegal structures in Errakunta…!
- Don’t local revenue, irrigation and municipal authorities have the information that Hydra has?
Dundigal, August 16: Who has resorted to irregularities? Who has raised hopes in the common people and led them towards evil? Who has succumbed to this sin? Who is responsible for the rampant illegal constructions in Kutbullapur constituency? If the officials work honestly, will there be any real irregularities? These questions are also arising among the local common people. Locals say that the structure that was demolished yesterday in Errakunta in Bachupalli is a proof that corruption reigns in all departments.
If a common man builds a house properly, the authorities, who are like vultures, why do they not stop the construction in the FTL and buffer zone of Errakunta pond? Local Revenue and Irrigation Municipality officials do not have the same information that Hydra officials have? However, questions are being raised as to how the HMDA authorities are giving permission for constructions at the FTL (full tank level) of the pond.
Locals say that such irregularities are taking place because the authorities are in a mode where they will give permission only if they get their due share. It is known that the real story started with the issuance of NOC by the local revenue authority which set aside the original Errakunta Pond FTL/buffer zone. The locals are discussing that the builders got the revenue sketch by showing the FTL/buffer of the pond in the survey numbers, and the irrigation officials also gave a thumbs-up to it, saying that three blocks of about 1000 yards have been taken out at the rate of 50 per cent.
Although complaints have been received about these constructions since the beginning, there are widespread allegations that a large amount of money has changed hands behind the blind action of either the HMDA or the municipal corporation officials here. If the concerned authorities had stopped the constructions going on in the buffer zone/FTL at the beginning, the damage would not have happened now..! Opinions are being expressed everywhere. If it was not for the cooperation of Revenue, Irrigation, Local Body and HMDA, would the constructions have come so far? The locals are questioning the behavior of the officials. In any case, the demand for investigation against corrupt officials is heard everywhere.
