Tirumala: The Bhashyakara Utsav at the Tirumala Srivari Temple began on a grand scale on Friday. This festival will be held for 19 days. Sri Bhashyakarla Sattumora will be held on 12th May.

Bhagavad Ramanuja wrote a commentary on Mimamsa Granth called "Sribhashyam" on the basis of Vishistadvaita theory. That's why they are called interpreters. Bhasyakarla Sattumora is held in Srivari temple every year to honor the Arudra Nakshatra where Sri Ramanuja was born.

On the first day of the Bhashyakara Utsavam, on Friday morning, after the first bell in the Srivari temple, Sri Ramanujulawarini was taken out in a procession through the four Mada streets of the temple on the golden Tiruchi. On this occasion, the Jeeyangars conducted a divyaprabandha festival.

Tirumala Sri Sri Peddajiyarswamy, Tirumala Sri Sri Chinnajeyarswamy and temple officials participated in this program.
