EC special focus on those 14 constituencies.. Pahara with additional forces

The Election Commission will take strict measures to ensure that the general elections to be held in AP on May 13 are conducted in a peaceful environment without any riots. As the polling date is approaching, Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena is monitoring the arrangements in all the districts. Polling centers, counting centers and strong rooms are being inspected and many orders are being issued.

Keeping in mind the experiences of the last election, all precautions are being taken this time. Additional security forces are being deployed in troubled areas along with arrangements to monitor polling through webcasting. Constituencies where the influence of Maoists is high have been kept under more vigilance. Within the first four to five days of the Election Code coming into force, incidents of violence took place in many districts of the state. Taking these seriously, the Election Commission has also transferred some SPs. The EC has given instructions to the officials to treat everyone equally without any trouble.

Andhra Pradesh has also appointed more special police inspectors than ever before. Apart from the election observers at the state level, special observers have also been appointed at the district level and some constituencies. Measures have been taken to ensure fair and impartial elections in a peaceful environment. However, the election observers who traveled across the state suggested that more attention should be paid to the many seats where there is a chance for clashes. With this, the Election Commission has put special focus on 14 constituencies of the state. While 100 percent web casting is being set up in many polling centers in some constituencies across the state, it has been decided to set up full web casting in these 14 constituencies.

One hundred percent webcasting, Pahara with additional central forces..

The Election Commission has already identified problematic polling centers in the state. In addition to this, election observers appointed by the Center have identified some more problematic polling centers during their tour across the state. The entire voting process will be monitored through webcasting at problematic polling stations. Out of total 46,389 polling stations, 12,438 polling stations have been identified as most problematic. In all 29,897 polling stations, the entire process will be monitored through webcasting.

However, according to the reports given by the central election observers, web casting will be established in all the polling centers in all 14 constituencies. Additional central forces will be deployed at all centers in the respective constituencies. State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena said that 100 percent webcasting is being done in Macharla, Gurajala, Vinukonda, Pedakurapadu, Ongolu, Allagadda, Tirupati, Chandragiri, Vijayawada Central, Punganur, Palamaneru, Peeleru, Rayachoti and Tamballapally. Special measures are being taken to prevent any incidents of violence on polling day in these constituencies.
